SEMARANG – The Director of Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines), Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, S.T., M.T., officially unveiled the Green Peanut Team's two flagship electric cars, namely the PML Abimanyu Ultimate and Dwinata, in preparation for the 2026 Indonesian Electric Car Competition (KMLI) and the 2026 Energy Efficient Car Competition (KMHE).
The Green Peanut Team is a Polines student team that has been actively participating in various electric and energy-efficient vehicle competitions over the past few years. At the 2026 KMLI and KMHE, the team will bring their spirit to once again achieve success while developing innovations in electric vehicle technology.
The Supervising Lecturer of the Polines Electric Car Team, Margana, S.T., M.Eng., stated that all team members are expected to give their best performance in the competition.
"Hopefully, in this competition, the Polines representative team, the Green Peanut Team, can maximize their efforts and win the championship," he said.
According to him, both technical and non-technical preparations are crucial before the team departs for the competition. Team cohesion and vehicle readiness are also factors that are continuously monitored.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bagus Yunianto Wibowo, S.E., S.Kom., M.M., the Vice Director for Student and Alumni Affairs at Polines, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation.
"Preparation must be thorough. God willing (Insyaallah), they will become champions and achieve the best results," he expressed.
He hopes that the Green Peanut Team's participation will serve not only as a competition but also as a medium for students to develop their skills, creativity, innovation, and experience in electric vehicle technology.
In line with this, the Director of Polines stated that the development of electric vehicles and participation in such competitions must continue to be an institutional focus.
"Moving forward, this must become a priority program because, in recent years, they have won championships in several competitions. For this competition, it is expected that all preparations must be thorough and 100 percent complete," he asserted.
The launch of the PML Abimanyu Ultimate and Dwinata marks an important stage for the Green Peanut Team before entering the competition arena. With the support of supervising lecturers and Polines leadership, the student team is now focusing on ensuring vehicle readiness, race strategies, and the cohesion of all team members.
Through the 2026 KMLI and KMHE, the Polines Green Peanut Team is expected to showcase the results of student-developed electric vehicle technology while proudly representing Politeknik Negeri Semarang at the national level.
